Over 450 students have graduated from our 8 month training program and over 500 people have joined our membership program. Our training resources are structured so each student can begin applying their knowledge in their own patient care setting.
Our teaching program has been around since 2008 and membership since 2014. Our teaching methods and resources evolve each year based on advances in musculoskeletal ultrasound along with feedback from our students and members.
We have over 40 educators who provide mentorship and teaching within our programs. They have trained thousands of health professionals, written landmark research papers, and are considered thought leaders in this specialty.
How to perform a standard gray scale ultrasound scan of the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
How to perform a direct, long axis, ultrasound guided needle placement for injection or aspiration of a synovial structure.
How to recognize the typical ultrasound pathology found in conditions of osteoarthritis, gout, calcium pyrophosphate arthropathy, infection related arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative arthritis, degenerative tendon abnormalities, and median nerve impingement.
How to properly adjust ultrasound equipment, and manipulate ultrasound transducer to obtain Doppler signal from vascularized soft tissues such as finger pulp or inflamed synovium.

This program is geared toward rheumatologists and other applicable health care professionals who want to learn how to utilize musculoskeletal ultrasound to provide improved patient care.
A Fellow is a rheumatology fellow who is currently enrolled in a fellowship program.
A Non-Fellow is someone who is NOT enrolled in a rheumatology fellowship program. While previous participants have included academic and private practice rheumatologists, internal medicine physicians, or other MDs, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and sports medicine specialists, the focus of the teaching is on rheumatic disease manifestation visible on ultrasound scanning.

The training program is the right choice if you’re looking for personalized 1:1 training where you upload your own ultrasound scans and receive direct mentor supervision with personalized feedback, explore our 8 month training program. This program combines online training along with live in person events. It's only offered once a year and has limited enrollment. You will receive a free year of membership upon completion of the program.
The membership is perfect if you want a self-paced learning curriculum taught by experts in musculoskeletal ultrasound and do not want the other features of the training program. The educational materials include all of the modules used in our 8 month training program, plus 3 additional ones. Membership is open to anyone interested in learning musculoskeletal ultrasound, and you’ll have immediate access to all of the educational materials after signing up.
